Quick Update...

Big week for little Jack... He got his first tooth and he also rolled over for the first time! Is there anyway to make them stop growing? I want him to stay my baby for awhile but he seems to have other plans!

I know, I am slacker!

Miss me? I have to say I had the greatest of intentions to do regular posts after Jack was born, but reality has had other priorities for me. So I am so sorry its been so long. Here is some pictures of things we have been up to!

Jack had his first Christmas. We kept it pretty small, but he did get my favorite book "I'll love you forever" and of course I couldn't help crying as I read it to him. I am so lame!

And just because Jack is around now doesn't mean that Bauer got out of putting on his Christmas bells!

Christmas Eve Jack got his first hair cut by his Aunt Ashley. This was at 6 weeks old, and he has gotten one every 3 weeks since. And I thought my hair grew fast!

He watched his first of many USC games... Go Trojans!

Jeff turned 32...

... And I turned 29... ouch last year in my 20's.

Jack made his first trip to Glenwood and he was all decked out in Glenwood cloths thanks to Aunt Angie and Nat! Here he is with his uncle Tyler.

Jack hung out with his Phoenix cousins Grant...

And Katie...

And here is Jack with his cousin Ryder who he normally loves... but we caught him in a rare moment.

Jack also has his first friend Gavyn who was born just 3 days after Jack.

Jack started smiling around 2 months...

... And started laughing around 4 months.

In March Jeff and I ventured on our first nights away from our little one. My dad and his wife Sheryl took all of us kids down to Vegas to see the Beattles show while Jack hung out with my Grandma Kim and Grandpa Kent.

Jack started eating cereal, and this mess on his face is why his bath is the last part to his day.

Jack had his first Easter. His favorite part was the colorful plastic eggs. My favorite part of course was hanging out with Jack, but a close second was the annual Easter egg hunt we do at my Mom's. Jeff on the other hand thinks my family is a little juvenile, and doesn't really get into the spirit of the hunt, but this was the first year our step siblings joined in the crazyness and they made it awesome. Of course history repeated itself, and I was once again the champion. It was teams so I did have the help of my brother Davy. My step sister Adrian had the misfortune of being paired up with Jeff. About half way through the hunt Adrian (who is just as competitive as me) turned to me and said "your husband isn't taking this seriously!" So I look around to find Jeff walking around with the basket on his head eating cinnamon rolls and pointing out the eggs to other players rather then picking them up for himself. So sorry Adrian, now your exempt from him for at least 5 years!

And I attempted my first "Bunny" cake. Looks like I have a lot to learn from Grandma Patsy!

But more then anything we just hung out.

We are loving every minute we get to spend with this little guy. If you can't tell he is definitely the apple of our eye!

Introducing Jack Jack

Jack Tolman Warner made his grand entrance into this world on Saturday the 14th of November at 11:20 am. He was 7 pounds 5 ounces, has a full head of hair and 10 fingers and toes! We had a bit of a scary start, but luckily both Jack and I are doing great.

Friday the 13th started out like every other date night. Jeff and I went to Wingers for dinner and then hit up that 2012 movie. During the movie I started feeling some more consistent contractions. About 2 in the morning I thought that my water broke, so we packed up and headed to the hospital. We got all checked in and hooked up to the monitors and then tested the fluid only to find out it wasn't my water that broke. So just about the time we were ready to pack up and go back home one of the nurses noticed something a little off with Jack Jack's heart rate. My contractions weren't close enough or strong enough to admit us, but every time I would have one poor little Jack Jack's heart rate would drop. At about 7am I had gotten up for a minute, and when I laid back down his heart rate had a major dip and at that point a nurse came in and told us we weren't going anywhere.

Around 9am they broke my water and started me on pitosen. They kept telling us that we would most likely be having a c-section, but they wanted to at least try to induce me and see if his heart rate would stay stable enough to have a regular birth. Probably around 11:20 the doctor came in and informed me that they were going to take us into surgery unless I was dilated to an 8. Being that I was just at a 6 ten minutes prior we thought there was no way we would be at an 8, but to our surprise we were there! The next 20 minutes were almost surreal. They rolled in a bunch of equipment, then next thing I knew they were asking me to push, and two pushes later little Jack was here! They got him all cleaned up, rolled out all the equipment and brought in lunch. It was so weird, one minute we are going into a c-section, and the next I am sitting there with a baby in my arms and lunch on the table! Jeff and I just kept looking at each other like "what just happened???"

In the end we found out that Jack had the cord around his neck 2 times, so with each contraction the cord would get tighter causing his heart rate to drop. We can't say thank you enough to that nurse, who's name happened to be Heather, that caught the drop early on and kept us from going home. We feel so blessed to have this happy, healthy and beautiful baby boy in our lives. I am so excited to finally be a mom, and I can't remember another time in my life that I have felt so content and fulfilled. Being a mom is the best feeling ever!

Here are just a few of the bazillion photo's we have of the little guy...

All my boys!

My congratulatory drink! Jeff's brother Tyler gave me this special Dr Pepper, and I have been waiting for the perfect occasion to drink it. Well I think Jack's birth definitely constitutes as that!

Baby Shower

First off I have no new baby update... But I am hoping I will have one soon! Secondly I have been a horrible blogger lately! Blame it on the summer, nesting, work or whatever, it just haven't been a priority. I do have to apologize to my friends though because they threw me an awesome baby shower a couple of weeks ago and I have yet to post the pictures. So here are just a couple of pictures of my fabulous friends, and a couple of me looking very pregnant in all its glory :(

Thank you to all of you came and for all of the fun and wonderful presents! A special thank you to Amy, Erin, Lacey and Nat for putting on the production!

Primary Childrens

Bauer and I had our first solo visit to Primary Childrens on Sunday. It went awesome! Bauer just climbed into bed with the kids. The kids loved it because he just layed there with them and let them pet him, and of course Bauer loved it because it was constant attention! I can't wait till next Sunday!

Happy Anniversary!

On one hand I can't believe its been a year already, but on the other hand I feel like its just always been the two of us. Strange how that happens. Anyway for our first anniversary we wanted to get out of dodge for a little rest and relaxation, and what better place for the two of us to go then Vegas baby!

Vegas holds a special place in our hearts because it was there at a conference years ago that I think we both realized maybe we were more then friends. Also it is where Jeff proposed to me.

This time we decided to take it pretty low key being I am 6 months pregnant, and we didn't want to spend a ton of money. So Jeff went to one of his timeshare presentations and "scored" us a free 3 night stay in Vegas. Well I should say we thought he "scored..." About a week before we left we got a call from the timeshare place saying we had been "upgraded" to the Sahara hotel. UPGRADED??? If the Sarah hotel is an upgrade then where the HECK were we staying before??? Jeff had never been to the Sahara and he still wanted to check it out, I mean it was free and this is my frugal husband we are talking about, but he agreed to look at some backup plans. Long story short is that we got to Vegas pretty late, so we checked into the Sahara really because we both just wanted a bed at that point. The hotel wasn't as bad as I had expected, but it was no peach either. I was actually okay with staying there for a couple nights as long as we got to go somewhere nice for our actual Anniversary. As I went to sleep I remember thinking if I am okay with this place, Jeff has got to be because my standards are definitely higher then his, right? Guess not, the next morning I woke up to Jeff just laying there staring at the ceiling, and the first words out of his mouth "pack your stuff, were leaving."

I have to say I was relieved, so we ended up checking out this hotel called South Point down the strip a little ways which was a great find from our friend JoJo. For anyone heading to Vegas you should check this place out. Its a new hotel with awesome rooms, great air conditioning, a nice pool, a full on theater and bowling alley inside and its cheap!

From that point on Vegas was awesome. We lounged by the pool, drank our virgin Pina Colodas, and got some baby shopping done. Here are some pictures of some fun things we did on the trip.

We shared a piece of Cheesecake from the Cheesecake factory. We had to eat here because when we were here for our conference years ago I saw Jeff seriously pissed for the first time in my life. Actually now I think about it, I don't know if I have even seen him that mad since then.

We saw the show Mystere, which was awesome... though not as good as "O" in our opinion.

We ate our year old wedding cake! I am a nut case I realize, and I have this thing for traditions. So I made Jeff go get me a small cooler just so we could take this cake down to Vegas with us. It just wouldn't be right to eat it on any other day but our actual Anniversary!

And for those of you who wonder what a one year old cake looks like... here ya go. It did get a little wet in the cooler which I am sure didn't help, but not quite what it looked like on our wedding day. Regardless I have to give it to Carrie's Cakes because it still tasted fantastic!

Lastly we ended up eating at some Mexican restaurant that for the life of me I can't remember the name. No name Mexican restaurant on an Anniversary you may ask? Here is the story. Jeff's brother Tyler and his lovely wife Bethany now live in Vegas. Tyler just graduated from law school in the spring and while we were down there Tyler finished up taking the Nevada bar. So we had planned on taking him out for lunch when it was over so we could hang out with him and he could relax from his crazy studying he had been doing for the past couple years. Also Jeff had really wanted to hit up a buffet while we were in Vegas so I have this brilliant idea, since I despise buffets, that we should do the buffet thing with Tyler so at least he will have someone there that is actually enjoying the food with him. Looking back this was a horrible idea. Not only was the food terrible, but we didn't eat until 2. So by the time we were suppose to head to some fancy and romantic steak restaurant neither of us wanted much to do with food. I think Jeff was still too full, and I was still disgusted by the taste left in my mouth from eating that buffet. I do have to say the Mexican restaurant was pretty good, even if we barely touched our food, and I would go back again... but probably not for an Anniversary.

Well there you have it, one year down with many more to go. Happy Anniversary Jeffy, I love you with all my heart.

Updates...

Life continues to be busy these days, mostly consumed by work, but we always make the time to get out and have a little fun. Here are some updates on what we have been up to...

Happy Birthday Jeana!

A couple weekends ago we celebrated Jeana's 28th birthday along with Jeana and Steve's wedding anniversary. We all headed up to the Danjanovich's cabin and we had a blast. We stayed up until 2:00 (and for anyone that knows myself, Erin or Jeana that is close to a record these days) playing Balderdash and Madgab along with other games. It probably sounds kind of silly to some, but I don't remember the last time I laughed that hard. Between the definitions that came out of Anchor man and references to Moose's, I had a stomache ache the whole next day.

P.S. This cake is the real deal, no high fructose corn syrup or partially hydrogenated oils just the way Jeana likes it!

We also celebrated our 10 year High School reunion! How old are we!? I remember thinking that 10 years would feel like forever, but it has gone by so fast. This picture was actually taken our Sophomore year of High School, but it is one of my favorites. As for the reunion, it was a game time decision on whether we were going to go or not, but I am really glad we showed up. It was totally worth it just to see how much Brad Curley has changed! Wow!

I also have to apologize to the rest of the girls. I hunted for a "high school remembrance" photo that would have all of us in it... but I couldn't find one! It was either this one of the mud wrestling one... lol.

We got a grill!

I think this is one of the things you have to check off a list before you can officially say you are an adult. We have wanted one for awhile, but it just hasn't been a priority. Thanks to my Mom and Kent we finally have our very own grill! Don't mind that they were suppose to be giving us their old one... Weird how it looks so new and how they even were able to put it back in the original box with the instructions! Pretty tricky you guys...

Finally I bought my first purchase for this cute little tyke! I have been waiting for the perfect first purchase, and I just couldn't resist it... Isn't it the cutest thing ever!!!
